Tariff™ component is designed to work either integrated into ªGSW platforms or as a standalone web application. Tariff connects to official data sources simultaneously to withdraw relevant data for a certain commodity (product). It then renders the data with provided variable (e.g. exporting country, importing country, HS Code & origin country). The variables can be input through a web form for standalone application or withdrawn from the data, managed with Ledger™ component. Tariff™ also tracks legislation changes (e.g. duty rates or types applied) on a daily basis and feeds the data into Ledger™ for approval. In short Tariff™ defines what duty types and rates will be used, why export or import measures will be applied to make sure a correct work flow is created for all ªGSW platforms.

Tariff is stronger in terms of data accuracy and diversity. It collects the necessary data for import and export transactions and rolls the results out in an explicit and simple way. It is also an application where you can find Turkish regulation in English. Tariff allows you to keep track of regulations in United Kingdom, European Union and Turkey through a single window approach.

Tariff™’s duty calculator gives a heads up information to traders, who are willing to import or export products into other countries. Customs duties will vary depending on number of factors. Country of Origin, country of export, country of import, presence of documents like Certificate of Origin or Movement Certificates and in some cases even the manufacturer of the product. To have a better understanding about your landed costs it is required to have a tool that takes all these factors into account and give traders a calculation. Tariff™’s Duty Calculator is designed to meet these requirements and currently available as a standalone or embedded solution through Tariff™ component.

One of the most important variables in international trade is the country of origin (COO) of the commodity (traded product). When it comes to customs compliance, everything might go wrong without having the correct information about COO of the commodity. Duty types (e.g Anti-Dumping Duty), duty rates (Depending on the Free Trade Agreements or Customs Union) required documents for import (e.g. movement certificates or certificates of origin) varies in accordance with the COO of the traded goods. Tariff™, is the only available solution, which takes Country of Origin into account. Currently the feature is available for imports into Turkey only. Tariff™ renders country of origin, country of import and country of export all together and brings the required trade compliance information up accordingly.
